It has been so long since the last time I did a hand-made illustration; finally, I had the change with this project. I found this wallet last weekend at Sema, and I thought it was a perfect item to create a DIY project. Find all the materials and DO – IT – YOURSELF!

1. Make a hand-free design, use the marker and started making lines and forms. If you don’t feel comfortable drawing directly with the marker, use a black pencil first and design a sketch, then just follow those lines with the sharpie.

2. Use both thin and thick marker’s tips to create different effects (dots, lines, squares, circles, organic forms, flowers…etc)

3. You’re half way there! Remember to leave some blank spaces to put the diamonds later on.

4. Now comes the “messy” part. Put some E6000 glue on a plastic plate and with the help of a wood stick use it to add the glue on the black diamonds. Place the beads on the wallet wherever you want them. Let them dry for a couple of hours (2-3hrs)

5. If you feel like between the beads there are so many blank spaces, use the marker to refill those part….and VOILÁ!!!  Now you have a new graphic wallet.  Next time you are at the cash register people will definitely appreciate your new item!
