How To Mix Two Geometric Patterns Like a Pro

Yo estoy  locamente enamorada de esta colección. El diseñador nos presento unas de las formas mas chic y extraordinaria de reinterpretar el estilo grunge, y no me refiero al descabellado mix & match del espíritu adolescente de los 90s, sino un estilo “grunge de alta costura”; una yuxtaposición de lo masculino con lo feminino en una forma refinada y delicada. Y si por casualidad deseas aprender mas sobre el arte de combinar y mezclar estampados, Van Noten es la persona indicada. El tiene la habilidad y sensibilidad de combinar un estampado floral con unos cuadros escoceses de manera que se vean exquisitos.

Así que observé detalladamente  y aprendí del Maestro, y cree un atuendo para mi. Jugué con la combinación de dos estampados geométrico (cuadros escoceses y un estilo etnico), y a pesar de que son muy diferentes uno del otro, encontré la forma de que lucieran cool.

Añadí un toque de ‘rock & roll’ con los tacones de tachuelas y los lentes de sol. Finalmente, para crear un pieza elaborada decidí combinar 3 collares diferentes y colocarlos en capas. Y ta-dah… ¡este  es el resultado final!

I’m madly in love with this collection. The designer presented the chicest and most outstanding way to re-interpret the grunge style, and I’m not talking about the trashy – mix and match 90’s teen spirit but more like “grunge couture”, a juxtaposition of masculine and feminine in a refine and delicate way. And if you want to learn more about the art of mix & matching patterns, Van Noten is your man. He has the ability and sensibility to combine floral with tartan making them look very exquisite.

So, I watched and learned from the Master, and created a look for me. I played with two geometric patterns (tartan and ethnic), even thought they are very different I found a way to make them look cool, I added a little touch of ‘rock & roll’ with the studded pumps and the groovy sunglasses. Finally, to create a statement piece I combined 3 different necklaces and layer them on. And, ta-dah… this is the final result!
