DIY | Inexpensive Stripes Sunglasses Dolce & Gabbana

INSPIRADO EN DOLCE & GABBANA DYI LENTES DE RAYAS 

Junio aquí estas, eso significa que el verano oficialmente ha empezado; y una nueva temporada requiere nuevos “items”. Vi estos pares de lentes de rayas en el desfile de Dolce & Gabbana, y pensé que eran perfectos para recrear un projecto DIY (Proyecto “Hazlo Tu Mismo”). Fue súper fácil, solo necesitas tiempo y determinación. ¡Empecemos!

Materiales:

  • Un par de lentes de montura ancha (los mios son de H&M y los compré hace mucho tiempo, sin embargo puedes encontrar unos parecidos AQUI)
  •  Tijera
  • Cinta Adhesiva de papel
  • Pintura en spray
  • Cuchilla de corte 
june is here so for almost everyone summer has officially begun, and a new season means new items. I saw these pais of striped sunglasses at Dolce & Gabbana’s runway show, and I thought they were perfect for a DIY (Do It Yourself) project. It was pretty easy, you just need time and determination. Let’s start!

Materials

  • A pair of eyeglasses wide frame (mine are from H & M and bought long ago, however you can find some similar HERE)
  • scissors
  • Masking Tape
  • Stanley knife
  • Spray paint

If you want to have different and fashionable sunnies, learn to make them easy and fast. Inspired by the sunglasses Dolce and Gabbana.

*Busca un lugar abierto para trabajar con la pintura. 1.Cubre el cristal con la cinta adesiva. Usa de 2-3 capas para cubrir toda la superficie, y con la ayuda de la cuchilla cuidadosamente corta el exceso de cinta.

2.Corta tiras de la cita adesiva y crea un patrón de rayas en el montura. Yo decidí hacer un patrón simétrico, sin embargo sientanse libre de hacerlo como deseen. Cubre toda la parte trasera sin dejar ningún espacio abierto; no querrán ver pequeñas manchas de pintura en el cristal.

3.También crea una patrón de rayas en las patas laterales.
4.Cubre los lentes con pintura, sin deja ningún espacio vacio. Deja secar y repite 2-3 veces. Finalmente usa un spray clear (transparente) matte o glossy para sellar la pintura. Sé paciente y deja sacar toda la noche.

*Recuerda cubrir la mesa o el piso donde estas trabajando con periódicos viejos. Despegar la cinta adhesiva cuidadosamente y listo! Tienes unos nuevos pares de lentes de rayas.

1. Cover the glasses with masking tape. Use 2-3 layers to cover up, and with the help of a stanley knife, carefully, cut out the excess remaining.

2. Cut stripes of masking tape and start creating a striped pattern around the frame. I decided to do a symmetric pattern, however feel free to create it as you want. Cover all the back without leaving any open space, you wouldn’t want to see small paint spots on your glasses./

3. Also, create a striped pattern on the sides.

4. Cover the sunnies with the paint, without leaving any spot. Let it dry and repeat for 2 – 3 times. Finally use a clear matte or glossy spay to seal the paint. Be patient and let it dry overnight

*Find an open space to work with the paint. Remember to cover up the table or floor your working on with old newspapers.

*Remove the masking tape very carefully and taadaaah! You have a new pair of striped sunnies /
