3rd Year Anniversary

Recuerdo estar sentada en mi habitación pesando en nombres interesantes para el blog. luego surgió The Key Item; me dije a mi misma “Hablemos de los accesorios, las piezas claves que definen tu estilo”. Luego de haber conocido la blogosfera decidí que era mi momento de iniciar esta nueva aventura. En ese momento me acaba de graduar de la universidad, estaba en Milán y no tenía idea de cómo iba a resultar mi futuro. Yo deseaba trabajar para una gran revista famosa, ese era mi sueño (…creo que aun todavía lo es), soy diseñadora de modas, estilista con nociones en diseño gráfica por lo que caer en la tentación de ser “blogger” y crear mi propia revista o diario de moda fue demasiado fácil. Lo que nunca imaginé fue como esto iba afectar mi vida. Gracias a este “hobbie” (ahora conocido como trabajo tiempo completo) que descubrir 3 años atrás he tenido tan buenas experiencias, he conocido un montón de personas que han cambiado mi vida, pero sobre todo he aprendido tanto de una manera que no tengo palabras para explicarlo. Debo admitir que este es un trabajo que puede parecer simple y fácil, sin embargo es algo que demanda tiempo, dedicación y pasión… no es solo poner dos fotos y decir tres palabras; es un trabajo de transmitir una idea y llevársela al lector, es conectar con personas que comparten tus gustos e inquietudes, es educar pero al mismo tiempo aprender.

Gracias a ti que estas leyendo este mensaje ahora mismo, por tomarte un minuto de tu tiempo para pasar por esta simple pagina web hecha con amor, por seguir regresando y compartiendo conmigo. 

I remember sitting in my room, thinking in different interesting names for the blog, then The Key Item was born; I said to myself: “Let’s talk about accessories; the key pieces that define your style”. After getting to know more about blogs I decided it was my time to start this new adventure. At that point I just graduated from college, I was living in Milan and had no idea what was going to be my future. I wanted to work for a big, popular magazine, that was my dream (… I think still it is) but never got the chance , I’m a fashion designer and stylist with some graphic design concepts so the temptation of being “blogger” and start my own magazine or journal was too easy. I never imagined how this would affect my life. Thanks to this “hobby” (now known as full-time job) that I found out three years ago I’ve had such good experiences, I’ve met a lot of people who have changed my life, but mostly I’ve learned so much in a way that I’ve no words to explain. I must admit that this is a job that may seem simple and easy, however it is something that takes time, dedication and passion … it’s not just to put two photos and say three words, it’s a job of conveying an idea and bring it to the reader, it’s connecting with people who share your interests and concerns, is to educate but also to learn.
