Style By Inspiration #3 - Opening Ceremony Tokyo

I can’t believe I’ve forgotten to create more posts like this one, because actually this is one of my favorite categories from the blog: STYLE BY INSPIRATION. It consists in taking a photo as inspiration (preferably unrelated to fashion per se) and create a total look inspired by the photo. I decided to bring it back, because many of you are always asking me how to create different looks with the pieces you already have in your closets but don’t know where to start.

I’ve recommended this technique so many times, because it works perfectly when I want to try new things or get out of my comfort zone. I found this photo of the store Opening Ceremony in Tokyo on Pinterest and the color scheme and graphic style automatically caught my attention. The decoration of the store is inspired by the famous Bey Dots, a printing technique that was born in the 1879, however it was widely used in the “pop art” movement of the ’60s.
