3 Reasons Why You Need a Pair of Nude Shoes
Currently, I have over 5 pairs of nude shoes in various styles; one pumps, two sandals, two ballerinas flats, two platforms and one espadrilles. Gradually, I started to create this collection without even noticing. I’ve discovered how useful and versatile a pair of nude shoes can be and they have become one of my favorite colors. If you don’t have at least one pair and don’t know why you need one ASAP!, here are 3 reasons to get you on board:
1. YOU’LL LOOK TALLER
Nude shoes create an optical illusion that your legs look more elongated. If you are a petite lady, pointy shoes will be your allies. The key is to find a color similar (but not identical) to your skin tone and if you’ve dark skin, opt for a darker tone as caramel or beige.
2. IT’S A NEUTRAL COLOR THAT LOOKS LIGHTER.
There are many colors that can be neutral; such as black, white or gray. However, they might feel visually heavy. Many women believe that “only black goes with everything”, and they always wear black shoes as the best option. Try a pair of nude shoes and you will see how your look feels lighter, cool and more casual.
3. COMPLEMENT BUT DO NOT COMPETE.
A nude shoes don’t call much attention, they don’t compete with your outfit. They will complement your overall look and accentuate the style you want to achieve. It’s perfect when you want to highlight those printed pieces or dazzling clothes.
Need an extra reason?: they’ll make you look more chic! In my opinion, nude shoes can make you look more sophisticated as they seen more expensive than they actually are, unlike other colors that don’t have the same effect. 😉
There you have it, my 3 reasons (plus an extra one!) why you need to add that pair of nude shoes to your wardrobe. And if you already have one, think about which other styles you can add to your collection (sandals, ballerinas, pumps, platforms, etc) to wear on different occasions. Here are some shopping ideas to look at … What do you think?
