Here I bring you the second part of my trip to San Francisco (read here the first chapter of the saga). This city is full of small neighborhoods and the best thing is to get into them and get a bit lost between local, restaurants, bars and people who live in order to understand the vibe of each district. Let’s continued the exploration ..

INNER RICHMOND

I didn’t know this distric, I discovered it thanks to Fluxi, a blogger living in the San Francisco. You know the saying: “you can never judge the book by its cover, because what’s inside may surprise you.” Well, that’s exactly what happened to us. When we got off the bus, the neighborhood does not look as “hip” as Hayes Valley, it is much more residential and does not look that interesting. But this is a hidden gem of San Francisco. While we were walking around we discovered amazing places such as Green Apple Bookstore, where you will find new and used books (I bought 3 books that I’ll share with your later on). Next is Foggy Notion, a small shop with aromatics and accessories made locally. Also, you can cross by Blue Danuve ,a coffee house with yummy smoothies and a very ecliptic decor.

MISSION / VALENCIA

This is the Latino area of San Francisco. It has many influences of Mexican and Latin American immigrants. If you want to taste the real Mexican tacos (WARNING: you will never see Taco Bell with the same eyes ever again) this is the perfect spot without having to travel to Mexico. Stop by, Taqueria El Farolito, the place is nothing fancy but they ARE SO GOOD! What I like about this area is the artistic level. Don’t forget to walk through Clarion Alley, an alley filled with graffiti and murals. Parallel to The Mission Street, there is Valencia Street full of hipster bars and shops, we stopped at Etcetera Wine Bar for wine and tapas at the end of the night.

CHINATOWN

Every city has its small area taken by the Chinese. San Francisco Chinatown is one of the places that is always suggested by any tourist guide … Why is that? Like any Chinatown, this neighborhood is full of shops and restaurants from this nation. If you’re a fan of this culture, it’s worth visiting, as everything is clean and well organized. I must admit I didn’t go anywhere special, I just walked the streets aimlessly, the area is super cute to photograph.
