DIY / How To Make The Ultimate Flower Gift Basket
Happy Friday, my lovely ladies!
To finish this week, I want to share the last tutorial from the DIY gifts series (if you missed the firsts ones, don’t worried here there are -> tutorial #1 and tutorial #2). I’ve to admit that this is one of my favorites, I had so much fun doing it and it’s super easy that all of you can try it out.
With the help of Encajes La Rosario, I’ve created this beautiful flower gift basket perfect to giveaway on Valentine’s Day or any time of year. I loved the variety of artificial flowers they offer, and I didn’t want to go so cliché and put red and white flowers, but decided to give it a more sophisticated and elegant touch.
So, let’s get started…
First I wanted to add something sweet to my flower gift basket that will go together with the personalized mug, painted candles and photo frame. It is very easy, just take a small glass bottle or jar and put your favorite sweets in it (in my case i love chocolates) and decorate with a ribbon and a small card. You can do it yourself by hand or you can download THIS free printable.
FOR THE GIFT BASKET:
- A plain basket
- Gold spray paint
- Floral foam oasis
- Dry moss
- Decorative ribbon
- Glue
- Cutting wires (i forgot to put it in the photo, but it is very important to have one)
- Mixed flowers
- Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Paint the basket with gold paint, let it dry between coats.
- When it’s completely dry, place a decorative ribbon around the basket, tie a bow and use the glue to hold it together
- Place your oasis inside the basket and cover it with dry moss so you don’t see the green parts of the oasis foam.
- Select the flowers you want to use and cut them using the cutting wire, make sure they fit the depth of the basket properly.
- Have fun mixing shapes and colors. First, I started with the biggest one and then I filled with the finest and elongated stems.
- My basket was very long, so I made the flower arrangement on one side and let the other side clear to place the goodies. And that’s it!! Super easy, right?
