The Key To Blog 1.0 | 3rd Edition
Writing about this workshop without tears, it’s a little bit difficult. Don’t get me wrong, all the editions of ” The Key To Blog “ have been wonderful experiences and I am extremely grateful for all the girls who have decided to take the workshop and let me be part of their projects. However, there was something very special on this edition that really moved me inside more than usual; and believe me when I tell you I’m very shy about showing my emotions in public.
At the end of the day, after 6 hours of learning about blogs, strategies, social networking and content in my last speech that I usually give when I finish each workshop, I could not hold the tears of emotion. I was in front of 22 women of different ages, styles and situations; but they all arrived with a suitcase full of dreams and projects to be undertaken and on that day they decided to give me the opportunity and confidence to guide them through my experiences. This is what happened …
The day started with our warm arrival RIE Dominicana that always greets me with so much joy and supports me in all my creative ideas (Emely, I adore you!). As part of our tradiction, the girls found their “goddies bags” filled with small gifts provided by our sponsors. Thanks to Perrier RD and friends of the Enoteca, to Christian Pimentel for the illustration of the official notebooks of the workshop, to Sonrai for those super cute coin pouches, to Nescafe Dominicana for sweeten the day with their cappuccino, vanilla coffee and mochaccino and Ela Design Studio for those beautiful earstuds.
Laura from Packami Studio was responsible for the decoration of the classroom and the catering table. Bringing her unique feminine retro style to every detail. She also introduced her new project “The Cozy Night Kit” which is the perfect gift for that friend, mother or partner who wants to spend a pleasant evening between movies, wine, candles and popcorn. In times of recess, many of the girls approached me and they told me how much they were enjoying the workshop … YEAY! and how much I was helping them with their new projects. You can imagine how I was feeling just hearing those words! Stand up in front of a group of strangers and talk about your experiences is not an easy task, it took courage. So thanks to those girls for their comments (They know who they are! Haha) I have to confess that hearing those words help me out to keep up the encouragement and the strengths to carry on.
At the end, we laughed, discussed, learned and really enjoy a full day sharing something that we love. I write this post with tears on my eyes, but they are from joy and excitement. I feel that to say “thank you” is not enough to express my feelings.
