Bless My Funk at Dominicana Moda 2015
I’ve known Veronica from my years in Milan, and since she came back to the country she brought a new concept for the Dominican fashion world; “Ready To Wear” collections. Believe it or not, we live in a society where designers are known majorly for custom made pieces . Veronica, with her brand Bless My Funk, has decided to transform this idea presenting affordable collections, with a big design concept, great eye to detail and most of all amazing patterns.
Bless My Funk has matured a lot since its inception, and the proof is in this new collection presented at Dominican Moda 2015. I just came back from the runway show a few hours ago and was so shocked and inspired that I decided to share it here on the blog. I think Veronica’s work deserves to be documented and published for all to enjoy.
Inspired by the film “The Grand Budapest Hotel” by Wes Anderson, all the pieces were magical. Graphics were combined with the bold prints, pleated details and subtlety embellished. It was one of those shows that leaves you eager to see more.
Definitely one of the best shows I’ve seen in Dominicana Moda this year! Bravo!
